Holmes Foundry lawsuit

Holmes Foundry lawsuit has compensated many families for the health complications that were caused by the high amount of asbestos that was found at these Canadian manufacturing plants when air sampling was conducted from 1958 to 1974.  Only a few were denied and many more lawsuits continue.

Many of the workers developed asbestosis and to further the damage, asbestos that was left in the worker’s clothing spread the disease to their family members.  Moreover, many who were only passersby to the plants also were affected with the asbestos and developed the risk of lung disease.

Chrysler Corporation bought the Holmes Foundry from American Motors.  The plant was closed by Chrysler in 1991.
