The
coachella valley water district lawsuit confirms the importance of
basic necessities in human life even in this techno-modern
world. The fight is over water from the life-giving Colorado
River.
The
two entities at odds are the Coachella Valley Water District and
the Imperial Irrigation District. Already, the fundamental
focuses of these companies, "Water District" and
"Irrigation" are fighting it out.
Coachella
and Imperial had successful negotiations on how to proceed
regarding taking water from the Colorado River. However,
because Imperial backed out of these negotiations, Coachella feels
forced to file a lawsuit claiming significant issues such as
Imperial's disregard for California environmental laws.
