The Guidant Lawsuit resulted from the malfunctions of the Ancure Aorta Patch that was made by Guidant Corp.'s affiliate company, EndoVascular Technologies, Inc.

This Ancure Aorta Patch is used to remedy the weakened walls of the abdominal aortic artery that carries blood away from the heart. These bulges on the walls can possibly cause a patient to have an aneurysm. The procedure was used because it was less invasive than "regular" surgery.
