Celebrex is a COX-2 inhibitor  made by Pfizer, Inc. to treat osteoarthritis.  It is in the same class of drugs as Vioxx, which Merck voluntarily withdrew on September 30, 2004.  Celebrex and Bextra are the two other drugs in this group. Bextra has been withdrawn from the market by the FDA.

Discuss your options with your physicians regarding the use of Celebrex.  Findings have shown that increased dosage can increase your risk for cadiovascular disease.
