Oxycontin

Oxycontin is medication for the relief of pain and has been described to be similar to morphine.  Cautions for this drug include not breaking, chewing or crushing the tablet because it releases a large amount of oxycodone, the narcotic pain reliever, that may trigger deadly drug overdose.

This drug can only be prescribed by a doctor.  Any changes in dosage should also be made only by your doctor and should be consulted as to what drugs Oxycontin can be taken with.  Oxycontin should not be taken with other other pain medications, sleeping pills or tranquilizers because this may result in fatal interactions.
