What is Prempro? It is a phamaceutical that is used for hormone replacement therapy. It is a mixture of two drugs: estrogen and progestin. Its purpose is to decrease the symptoms of menopause and to help lessen the occurrence of osteoporosis.

Research was conducted by The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and their study found that the side effects of Prempro were so serious that NHLBI could not recommend the marketing of this hormone replacement therapy drug.

Side effects include breast cancer, strokes, blood clots, and cardiovascular disease.
