ceoxx claim

A ceoxx claim has been filed in Illinois and Arizona after the Vioxx recall on September 30, 2004 by Merck, the maker of both drugs.  Because ceoxx is the "other name" for Vioxx outside of the United States, the Vioxx side effects also apply to ceoxx not only medically but also legally.

Why the recall?

A 3-year study showed that after 18 months of taking Rofecoxib (Vioxx or Ceoxx), patients who did not have heart problems beforehand developed a high risk for stroke or heart attack compared to patients who were given placebo.
