ceoxx drug

ceoxx drug is the brand name for a medication called Rofecoxib, used to treat arthritis and pain.  The brand name for this same drug in the United States is the recalled drug, Vioxx.  Merck voluntarily withdrew Vioxx from the market on September 30, 2004.  A three-year study showed that after using Ceoxx/Vioxx for as long as 18 months, the patient, who did not have a history of heart disease increased the patient's risk for heart attack or stroke.

Because Vioxx/Ceoxx has been recalled, an over-the-counter medicine, Aleve, has been reported to be prescribed as an alternative and warnings have been issued to closely follow the instructions on the drug's label.  Another alternative medication is Celebrex, a new class of drug that is under the FDA's "drug watch."  Talk to your doctor for additional alternatives and further information.
