| A
lot of interest in a ceoxx withdrawal is due to Merck's
voluntary withdrawal of Vioxx from the United States market in
September 30, 2004.
Because Ceoxx is the other name
for Vioxx in other countries, the same side effects and risks
apply for both drugs.
Whether you have used the U.S.
version, Vioxx, or the worldwide version, Ceoxx, for arthritis
or pain, you may be or
have already experienced the side effects of these drugs.
The major side effects include stroke and heart attacks and
these are based on a three-year study that showed increased
chances of cardiovascular problems.
Patients who took Vioxx or
Ceoxx for more than 18 months had a higher chance of suffering
from the side effects compared to patients who took placebo.
