Paxil Lawsuit

Paroxetine hydrochloride or Paxil® is distributed by Glaxo Smith Kline. It is in a newer class of antidepressant medications which are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It blocks the uptake of serotonin in the blood platelets. It has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for several different depression disorders. It has recently came under fire for not disclosing the risk of suicidal tendencies in children and adolescents as well as downplaying the fact that there are significant withdrawal symptoms.
