Vioxx Site Map

Vioxx is a COX-2 inhibitor manufactured by Merck to treat arthritis, pain, and menstrual cramps.  On September 30, 2004, Merck voluntarily withdrew this drug because of the deadly side effects, including stroke and heart attacks.  This was concluded after a three-year study showed that patients who took Vioxx compared to patients who took placebo, increased their risks for cardiovascular disease.
